Manchester United's third kit will have differently colored names and numbers in the Premier League and Cup matches, it has been confirmed with the club's shirt release.

The reason for Manchester United to have a black font in the Premier League is the very limited selection of official kit font colors offered by the league.
The official red 2023-2024 Premier League jersey font does not match the maroon-red color of Man Utd's kit, so the team opted to use a black kit font for Premier League matches.
However, for cup matches, Manchester United will use a custom maroon font with their new 2023-2024 third kit.
