Around 12 months ago, in July 2019, Nike launched the "next-generation" Nike Mercurial 360 football boots, called "Nike Mercurial Superfly VII / Vapor XIII". Now we have received info that the next-gen Nike Mercurial football boots are on its way, with an expected launch in early 2021.

The next-generation Nike Mercurial 2021 football boot will be again available as Superfly and Vapor version (probably higher cut and low-cut).
Naming will be the same as with previous Nike Mercurial soccer boots
Naming will be the same as with previous Nike Mercurial soccer boots. The high-end Superfly 2021 Mercurial will be called "Nike Mercurial Superfly 8 Elite", while the high-end Vapor 21 will be called "Nike Mercurial Vapor 14 Elite".
Tech-wise, nothing concrete is known about the next-gen Nike Mercurial 2021 soccer boots.
We expect the next-gen Nike Mercurial to be quite different to the Nike Mercurial Superfly VI and Superfly VII, which both had the 360° concept as main innovation.
In fact, the Nike Mercurial Superfly VII was an upgrade of the Nike Mercurial Superfly VI, which was promoted as "Nike Mercurial Superfly 360".
The next-gen Nike Mercurial 2021 soccer cleats launch in early 2021 - late January / February 2021.
