Nike Dominates Brazil 2018 World Cup Squad

The Brazil Football Federation this week became the first nation to announce their final 2018 World Cup squad. We take a look at the football boots worn by the 23 Brazil players who will travel to Russia next month.

Brazil 2018 World Cup Team Boot Battle

Making the boots for 16 of the 23 nominated players (69.6 %), Nike dominates the battle for Brazil's 2018 World Cup team. Adidas makes the soccer cleats for the rest of all players (7), while no other brand managed to sign a Brazil player.

Compared to the 2014 World Cup, there is much less brand variety in Brazil's 2018 World Cup squad in terms of boots. Four years ago, 5 different brands supplied Brazil's players with their football boots (Nike (13), Adidas (7), Puma (1), Mizuno (1), Pantofola dOro (1).

Brazil's expected stating line-up is also dominated by the Swoosh.
