Barcelona x Spotify Kit Sponsor Chaos Continues
- Sponsor Logo Confusion: Barcelona's new kits are inconsistent with the Spotify logo, due to a logo update after the initial production run, resulting in multiple kit versions.
- Multiple Kit Versions: Nine different sponsor versions are available for the Barcelona 2024-2025 kits, including the old Spotify logo, the new Spotify logo, and sponsor-free versions.
- Inconsistent Rollout: The rollout of kits with the new Spotify logo has been inconsistent with limited quantities in stores and not yet available online.
Barcelona's kit sponsor saga has not yet ended, as confusion over the availability of jerseys with the Spotify logo continues.
In May 2024, Spotify, Barcelona's main sponsor, updated its logo. However, Barcelona's 2024-2025 kits were already in the production phase, resulting in the majority of kits being made with the old Spotify logo. As a result, the Nike Barcelona 2024-2025 home kit was only available with the old Spotify logo, leading to significant confusion that continues to this day.
Barcelona 24-25 Kits Available With Old, New & Without Spotify Logo
Nine different sponsor versions are available for the Barcelona 2024-2025 kits currently.
Nike is now selling Barcelona's 2024-25 kits without any sponsor logo, after the brand previously sold kits with the old Spotify logo. This is because the later production of the kits was made sponsor-free.
Yesterday, as reported by Barcelona insider @memorabilia1899, Barça stores in Barcelona and Madrid started offering limited quantities of home jerseys with the new Spotify logo. It is the first time that the home kit is available with the new Spotify logo.
Online, Barça is still selling the home kit with the old Spotify logo. Rumors suggest that the club waits until all home kits of the first batch are sold out before offering the kits with the new sponsor logo online.
The Nike website states that the kits with the new Spotify logo will be available later this year, while not listing an exact date.
The rollout of the updated kits remains inconsistent, leaving supporters in confusion.
