Barcelona Kit Launch Chaos? Delays & Old Spotify Logo

The Barcelona 2024-2025 kits have been very well received by fans (and even many rival fans of Madrid) since the first leaks. This also was confirmed by high sales of the home shirt so far. However, people who want the kits are facing frustration because of two things - first, a delay in the release, and second, more importantly, chaos with the Spotify logo.

Barça's 24-25 home kit is "becoming more popular than any other shirts in the recent years"

Barcelona Last Big Club to Launch New Away Kit

Barcelona fans are facing a frustrating wait for the club's 2024-25 away kit. All major teams have launched their new away shirt already, with Barcelona being the last team that has not yet.

The late launch of the Barça 24-25 is partly caused by the club's ongoing negotiations with Nike (some even call it a war) - Barcelona wanted to end its deal ahead of schedule, which was forbidden by a court after Nike sued it.

The highly anticipated unveiling of the away shirt was first scheduled for late July and later changed to August 12th. However, this date has been again postponed, according to Barça shirt collector @memorabilia1899. Footy Headlines has information that the away kit might be unveiled on Sunday, August 18th, 2024, but we can not ultimately confirm it.

Barcelona 24-25 Away & Third Kits to Be Sold With Old Spotify Logo in the Beginning

A further twist in the saga is that both the away and third kits available to buy will feature the old Spotify logo in the beginning, despite unlikely last-minute changes for the third.

The new, icon-only Spotify isotype logo will only adorn the player's shirts in the first months, as is the case for the home. It could be that the Barcelona 24-25 away and 3rd kits with the new Spotify logo will be available this fall, but there is no confirmed info yet.

Nike website: This jersey carries the same Spotify logo as prior FCB kits. Jerseys with the new Spotify logo will be available for sale later this year.

Nike was forced to add a message on its website to inform customers about the situation with the Spotify logo, showing the high demand for the question.

The presentation of Barça's home kit was one of our favorites in the 24-25 season, showing the players lying dreamily on the pitch, which oddly fits in with the sleepy situation of the availability of the kits.
