Inter Milan's Special 24-25 Home Kit Situation - Available With Sponsor & Without but Not at All via Nike

Inter Milan's 2024-25 home kit situation is imperfect this season, showing off the complexities of football sponsorship and, especially, production deadlines.

Was this sponsor-free version intended to go on sale at independent retailers?

Inter Milan 24-25 Home Kit Situation

Sponsor-Free Kits: The 2024-25 Inter Milan home kits were initially produced without a sponsor. This situation arose because the club was still finalizing the main shirt sponsor deal when the kits were produced. Inter had to add the Betsson Sport logo afterward.

As a result, the kits available via independent retailers on Unisport and other retailers are being sold without the sponsor's logo.

Delayed Nike Sales: Despite the kits being available at the club and now also at certain independent retailers, Nike has not yet started selling the new Inter kits directly on its website. This delay is attributed to the sponsorship situation. Nike apparently still needs to wait for the sponsor to be added before releasing the kits through their channels.

Oddly, Nike is selling one Nike Inter 2024-25 home kit product - the socks.

Current Availability: As of now, fans can purchase the Betsson Sport version only directly from the club and the sponsor-free version of the kit from retailers like Unisport. This unique opportunity allows fans to own a clean version of the iconic Nerazzurri stripes, free of any commercial branding.

All this is very similar to Barcelona's 24-25 kit situation. Barcelona's 2024-2025 home kit was revealed and will be worn with a new Spotify logo, which is not available to buy until fall.

Indeed, Nike also produced Barcelona kits without any sponsors, likely exclusive to the club. Sneaker Market RO spotted this and somehow got his hands on images of that rare version.
