Germany Prints Wrong Number on Shorts

  • Font Mismatch: Germany's national team wore the home kit font on their jerseys but mistakenly used the away kit font on their shorts during a match.
  • Typeface Confusion: The team and their partners, Adidas and 11teamsports, were confused by the different typefaces for the home and away kits.
  • Photoshop Fix: The official launch photos of the kit correctly featured the home font on the shorts, indicating the error was not intentional.

For the UEFA Euro 2024, Adidas and German shirt partner 11teamsports created a unique typeface for the German national team. Now, in the debut of the kit, they got confused with the typeface.

Germany Wears Away Numbers on Shorts

Germany has a different typeface for the home and away kits - the home kit typeface has an added 3D effect, while the away typeface comes with a flat design. However, Germany was confused by it.

Germany's players wore the home font both on the front and the back of the shirt, but the away font on the shorts - a small but funny mismatch.

The photoshopped launch picture had the correct numbers for the shorts.
