La Liga 2025 Anti-Racism Ball Revealed - La Liga Teams Refuse to Use Ball Because of Design

  • Anti-Racism Ball Design: La Liga created a special "VS Racism" match ball with colorful brush stroke accents as part of its anti-discrimination campaign.
  • Team Rejection: La Liga teams refused to use the anti-racism ball because they disliked the design.
  • Ball Replacement: La Liga introduced a third orange ball for rounds 30 until the end of the season, after using a yellow winter ball in round 29 due to the anti-racism ball's rejection.

Update: The La Liga 2024-2025 anti-racism football is available from some retailers. However, the ball remains a piece of history that was never used, as the teams did not like the design and therefore rejected it. Puma will never officially launch the football on the market.

Update: La Liga's anti-racism ball was due to make its debut last weekend on matchday 29. However, it was not used because the clubs did not like it.

As a result, the yellow winter ball was used in round 29 last weekend. La Liga will introduce a third orange ball to be used from round 30 until the end of the season.

La Liga teams will use a special edition "VS Racism" match ball manufactured by Puma as part of its ongoing campaign against racial discrimination in football. Thanks to @elchiringuitotv for the images.

La Liga Reveals "VS Racism" Match Ball in Anti-Discrimination Campaign

The striking white La Liga Anti-Racism soccer ball features colorful brush stroke accents in purple, blue, and orange scattered across its panels, creating a distinctive look while carrying an important message. The "VS RACISM" text is prominently displayed next to Puma's iconic logo, while La Liga's branding appears in red.

This special edition ball appears to be part of the same anti-racism initiative featured in EA Sports FC 25, which includes themed kits for various leagues, including La Liga. The ball's design elements mirror those seen on the "VS RACISM" kit, creating a cohesive visual identity for the campaign across different mediums.

This initiative continues La Liga's commitment to combating racism in Spanish football, an issue that has received increased attention in recent seasons following several high-profile incidents involving players.
