Change For the Better: UEFA to Rename Europa Conference League to Conference League
From the 2024-2025 season, UEFA will rename the UEFA Europa Conference League to UEFA Conference League, Footy Headlines can reveal.

The competition was internally named "Europa League 2" before becoming official as the Europa Conference League.
The abbreviation for the competition will be UCL - the same as the Champions League. Fans had speculated that UEFA avoided calling the competition just Conference League to avoid confusion with the Champions League. The logo will remain the same, but without the word "Europa."

The new UEFA Conference League logo without the Europa part was (accidentally?) showcased during the signing ceremony between Kipsta and UEFA for a new ball deal for the 2024-2027 period.
The UEFA Conference League was introduced to give smaller teams a greater chance of competing in European competitions.
Now, after we got a look at both the new UEFA Europa and Conference League logos, one last question remains - will UEFA also update the Champions League logo?.
