Athletic Bilbao 23-24 125-Year Anniversary Kit Released - Fans Hate It
Athletic Club have collaborated with their kit maker Castore to release a special kit to celebrate their 125th anniversary. The kit, named '125 Heritage Kit', "honors the legacy that has been passed down from generation to generation".
After unveiling the 125-year anniversary kit, the club faced backlash from fans who were unhappy with it. They criticized the shirt for being too modern and not traditional enough. They surely have a rightful claim here - Athletic's home kits are red and white striped, while their original kit was half blue and half white.

This is the new Castore Athletic Bilbao 125-year jersey for 2023-24.
The Castore Bilbao 2023-24 125-year shirt is a modern interpretation of the club's blue shirts, worn since the 1960s.
The initial half-blue and half-white jersey was the club's away strip for many years, but in the late 1960s, the club changed it to all-blue due to the popularity of monochrome kits and the advent of television broadcasts.
Blue shorts and red/white socks complete the Castore Athletic Club 23-24 125-year jersey.
It is not a first for Athletic to have an unusual anniversary kit. Their centenary kit of the 1997-98 season had an even more unexpected look.
