Spotted: Spain Fan Wears Fake Kit

If you watched the 2022 World Cup a lot and are into football kits, you might have noticed that there were many fake kits visible in the stands. This was greatly showcased in the 2022 World Cup Round of 16 match between Morocco and Spain.

The fan on the right of the TV picture bought a fake kit

Many Fans Wear Fake Kits in 2022 World Cup

The counterfeit has a very wrong collar.

In the 27th minute of the match broadcast, two Spain fans are shown cheering their team. However, when comparing the kits worn by the fans, it becomes obvious that they are different.

While it is often hard to spot a fake in the few seconds a kit is shown, this time it was different. The fan on the right (in the TV picture) is wearing a counterfeit, while the left probably got an authentic product. How can it be seen?

The collar of the fake kit is very wrong in the lower part (stops way too early). Another bad element already visible from afar is the positioning of the logos (far too wide on the outside).

Sold out: Fans can not get official Morocco kits until the end of the World Cup

When rewinding pictures from the TV broadcast, it becomes obvious that many Morocco fans did not wear official jerseys as well. It has to be said that the Morocco 2022 World Cup home kit is totally sold out, making it impossible to get an official Puma product right now.

Indeed, the Puma Morocco kit restocks only on 21 December 2022 on Puma's website - three days after the 2022 World Cup final.
