Nottingham Forest Announce UN Refugee Agency UNHCR as Front-of-Kit Sponsor

Nottingham Forest today announced that UN's refugee agency UNHCR will be their front-of-kit sponsor for the remainder of the 2022-23 season.

UNHCR, which is short for United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, is the a UN agency mandated to aid and protect refugees, forcibly displaced communities, and stateless people. Forest join Barcelona, who have the UNHCR logo on the backs of their shirts since this season.

Nottingham Forest up until now were the only team in the Premier League without a front-of-shirt sponsor. Starting on January 1st, 2023, and until the end of the 22-23 season, the UK for UNHCR logo will appear on the front of the Nottingham Forest kits.

Nottingham Forest Club Captain, Joe Worrall, said: “The partnership with UK for UNHCR is fantastic and we’re very proud to be able to have them on our shirt. We’ve got a nice, tasty game against Chelsea on New Year’s Day where we can showcase the new partnership. It will be fantastic if they can give us a little bit of luck and we can hopefully get a win.”

In addition to displaying the UNHCR logo, Forest have also made a financial donation.

Details on when the new Nottingham Forest UNHCR kits will be available to buy will be revealed "in due course". The official statement reads like it will be possible to apply the logo to already bought, sponsor-less 22-23 kits as well.
