Adidas Originals World Cup Collections on the Way? Argentina Items Released
It looks like Adidas may be about to launch "Essentials" collections with the Trefoil logo for their international teams.
Adidas Originals International Essentials Collections
A couple of months ago Adidas released "Essentials" collections for some of their European clubs. The design was very basic, one dark base colour and a relevant accent colour used for the famous Trefoil logo and the club badge. No stripes or other elements feature across those collections. Now, a couple of navy and white items from a similar Argentina collection have been released on Adidas' Argentinian website but are currently unavailable elsewhere.
Adidas have already released extensive lifestyle collections for their international teams, especially those competing at the World Cup, but none of them contain items from the Adidas Originals range. There is a selection of Beckenbauer track jackets in the colourways of some countries - including non-Adidas teams like Brazil and France - but nothing branded with both the Trefoil and the FA badges of the teams that is part of any official football collection.

The retro appeal and nostalgic value of the Trefoil always prove very popular with fans, with the presence of the old-school logo alongside the badge of their club or country usually enough to convince them to part with their cash, regardless of how basic the design may be. The images of the Argentina collection and the release of the Essentials club collections in October seem to suggest that more national teams will receive similar products, with hoodies, sweatshirts, track pants and tees included.
