No More Cazoo: Marseille Announce CMA AGM as New Sponsor for 23-24
- New Sponsor: CMA AGM Group will be Marseille's new main shirt sponsor starting next season.
- Cazoo Departure: Cazoo is cancelling all European kit sponsorship deals, including their deal with Marseille.
- Other Clubs Affected: Five other European clubs (Valencia, Real Sociedad, Bologna, Freiburg, and Lille) also need to find new sponsors due to Cazoo's exit.
Marseille have announced that CMA AGM Group will be their main shirt sponsor from next season onwards.
CMA AGM to Replace Cazoo as Marseille Sponsor
Marseille's jerseys will carry the logo of locally based company CMA AGM Group from next season onwards. Logistics company CMA AGM will take over from the start of the 23-24 campaign and will presumably remain in place for longer than Cazoo, although the length of the contract has not been announced.
Marseille are one of six European clubs who signed sponsorship deals with used car sellers Cazoo ahead of the 22-23 season as the young British company sought publicity for its European expansion. It proved to be a very short sighted - and expensive - move however, as in September, they announced that they were pulling out of the European market to focus on growing their business in the UK.
With Marseille sorted, that leaves Valencia, Real Sociedad, Bologna, Freiburg and Lille to find a new sponsor for next season. Will Marseille's new sponsor logo look better on their shirts than their current one? Comment below.
