Chelsea Announce WhaleFin Sleeve Sponsor Deal

Premier League giants Chelsea today announced a sleeve sponsor deal with Amber group, who replace Hyundai. The logo of WhaleFin will be emblazoned across the kit of both the men’s and women’s teams from the start of the 2022/23 season.

The Chelsea FC Amber Group deal doubles the previous contract

WhaleFin are a digital asset platform owned by Singapore-based Amber Group. They are also reported to become Atletico Madrid's new main sponsor.

The Chelsea FC Amber Group deal is worth £20m a year, according to Sky Sports News. This doubles the figures of Hyundai.

Chelsea also want a new main sponsor to replace Three

The deal was announced despite a temporary ban on the club from striking new partnerships while it operates under government supervision.

Guy Laurence, Chelsea FC Chief Executive, commented:

‘This is a hugely exciting partnership for the club, which aligns us with one of the most advanced digital asset companies in the world. As Amber Group continue to expand coverage of their platform globally, they will now have the ability to not only speak to the hundreds of millions of loyal Chelsea fans around the globe but also be seen by the billions who tune into the Premier League each season.'

Michael Wu, Amber Group Chief Executive Officer said:

Chelsea are also reported to be looking for a new main sponsor to replace Three.
