Exclusive: All Bayern Kits to Feature Stars Again From 22-23 Season
Bayern Munich will return to have stars on all of their kits from the 2022-2023 season, we can reveal.
Since winning their 30th official Bundesliga title in 2021, Bayern Munich are allowed to wear five stars. However, in the current season, only their home kit features stars. The other kits have none.
Adidas did not have enough lead time to produce kits with five stars last year
The reason why Bayern München's home kit is currently the only one with stars is simple. Adidas did not know before May 2021 if Bayern would gain the 30th Bundesliga title, just a few days ahead of the planned kit launch. Therefore, they had not enough lead time to produce Bayern Munich gear with five stars.
Adidas and Bayern decided to have no stars on the kits in the 2021-22 season, with one exception, the home kit. The home release was postponed to July 2021 to have enough time to put the five stars on it. All other gear, including the away and third kits, was produced and launched without stars.
Adidas Bayern Munich 22-23 Home, Away & Third Kits to Have 5 Stars
So far, only the 22-23 Bayern Munich home kit has been leaked. It of course features five stars. However, we can already confirm that the Bayern Munich 2022-2023 away, third and goalkeeper kits also have five stars.
There is no rule for a sixth star
It seems very likely that all Bayern Munich products for the 22-23 season will feature five stars. Adidas also added them to products released in early 2022.
In case you are wondering when Bayern will get a sixth star. There is no rule for that yet.
