Bale Becomes Tottenham's No. 9 - 'Wrong' Number On Social Media, Fourth Different Number For Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur yesterday announced that on Loan Signing Gareth Bale will take the No 9 shirt. We take a look at Bale's shirt number history and some "problems that occur with that choice".
@garethbale11 - Gareth Bale Has No. 11 In Name On Social Media
Gareth Bale started his career wearing 16, then switched to 3 before making his name as their No 11. Gareth Bale carried over the No. 11 kit to Real Madrid, with Argentine Erik Lamela inheriting it at Spurs.
Lamela is still at the club, meaning Bale opted for the No. 9 - last worn by Vincent Janssen.
Spurs posted each his numbers worn at the club on Twitter, as they posted: 16:03:11:09. They even added the text to their bio.

What might be bad for Gareth is that he has the username "@garethbale11" on his official social media accounts on Instagram and Twitter...
Do you think that the No. 9 kit is a fitting choice for Bale? Should have Spurs given him the No. 11 kit from Lamela? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
