Inter Miami CF & Beckham Sign "UK£180 Million" Qatar Kit & Stadium Sponsor Deal

Update: Inter Miami CF have signed a UK£180 million (US$234.3 million) sponsorship deal with Qatar, according to UK newspaper The Sun. The length of the contract has not been revealed by The Sun.

The Sun’s new report says the deal will see Qatar’s logo displayed on the team’s kits and merchandise, as well as throughout their stadium.

A source told the Sun that Beckham and his agent David Gardner were “incredibly hands-on” in securing the deal, which was reportedly signed two weeks ago. The same source added that Qatar was keen on the partnership in order “to drive investments overseas to improve and soften its image”.

Currently, Inter Miami are the only team in the league without a main sponsor. One of their most important deals is with Dutch beer brand Heineken, who were their first founding partner last August.

Inter Miami CF will play their first match in the MLS on March 1 2020 away to Los Angeles FC.
