Manchester United Adidas Deal Includes Massive Reduction If Club Fails To Reach Champions League Again
Manchester United would stand to lose out on significant sponsorship revenue through Adidas should they fail to qualify for the Champions League this season, it has been revealed.
Manchester United signed their current kit deal with Adidas back in 2015 for £750million over 10 years after switching from Nike, who had been the club's sponsors for 13 years.

As Manchester Evening News reports, Manchester United's Adidas deal includes a clause that states that if Manchester United fail to secure Champions League football in two consecutive years the sportswear brand reduce their payment by 30 per cent. This means that ManU would just receive 52.5 million Euro instead of 75 million Euro.
United finished sixth last season meaning it is vital the club secure Champions League action for next season, either by finishing fourth in the Premier League or winning the Europa League.
