No More Rectangular Logo - All-New EA Guingamp 2019 Logo Revealed + New Kit Maker Announced
Some days ago, French Ligue 1 club FC Nantes presented an all-new, minimalistic new logo that split fans opinion. Now another French club, EA Guingamp, who were relegated to the Ligue 2, revealed an all-new crest - and it is safe to assume that it will be more popular amongst fans than the new logo of Nantes.
EA Guingamp 2019 Logo
This is the new EA Guingamp 2019 logo.
A heavy change to the famous rectangular logo that was introduced 20 years ago, the new En Avant de Guingamp Côtes-d'Armor logo features a totally new shape that is inspired by the logo of the 1970s. The new EA Guingamp logo respect the codes and strong symbols of the club: the historical colors red & black , the 3 letters EAG , the founding year 1912 , and of course the Triskel , emblematic of our territory and its traditions.

Designed in collaboration with a Guingampese designer, the new En Avant Guingamp logo is also part of the modernity of its time, through a highly innovative graphic line. The name of our club remains incomparable and inimitable: "En Avant Guingamp" ("Forward Guingamp"). These three words have become, over time, a popular expression and our mark of recognition.
The new EA Guingamp logo is the 6th of its history. Guingamp was founded 107 years ago, in 1912.
Umbro Becomes EA Guingamp Kit Maker
A day after the all-new branding was revealed, EA Guingamp also announced a new kit supplier deal. Umbro will replace Patrick as EA Guingamp jersey supplier with the 2019-20 season.
Umbro will be EA Guingamp's exclusive equipment supplier for a period of 5 years. The British brand, a specialist in authentic football, will use its expertise and make match kits, training and output products and sportswear products of the club.
EAG and Umbro will collaborate on the design of a global strategy to promote mutual growth by developing tailor-made jerseys that reflect local culture and identity. This partnership will therefore aim to strengthen the community dimension around the club by bringing together its supporters at local and national level.
"We are particularly proud and happy to partner with an OEM such as UMBRO, the iconic brand of football. Anxious to develop our partnerships in a sustainable way, we wanted to register this new collaboration in the long term, hence this first 5 seasons contract." said EA Guingamp's president Bertrand Desplat.
Jacques Royer, CEO of the Royer group, licensee Umbro said: "We are very happy to become the new partners of En Avant Guingamp, a club that shares our values of humility and surpassing oneself. The costarmorican club is an atypical club with a strong personality that has unique and loyal supporters, and brings together and federates this community at all levels."
The new En Avant Guingamp 2019-2020 kits will be revealed to fans on Friday, June 28th.
