Andres Iniesta this week officially joined the Japanese brand Asics Together with the announcement, Asics's presented the next-generation of the Asics DS Light football boots - the Asics DS Light X-Fly 4. We take a closer look a them.

Iniesta said about joining Asics: “I am extremely excited to be part of the Asics family, a brand that embodies similar values and beliefs to myself as a sportsperson. I am committed to inspiring others to move more, as well as elevating the game from grassroots levels in Japan to bridge the gap between Asian football and the rest of the world. I believe this move is another positive step in making this happen.”

Asics DS Light X-Fly 4 Football Boots

This is the launch colorway of the Asics DS Light X-Fly 4 cleats.

The Asics DS Light X-Fly 4 football boots are made for a barefoot like feel, just as previous generations. They feature a kangaroo leather in the forefoot area and a synthetic leather in the other parts. The Asics DS Light X-Fly 4 come with Asics's new Mois Tech Technology (no further information yet) and rubber elements on the instep.

Just as the upper, the sole plate of the Asics DS Light X-Fly 4 football boots combines modern and classic features. The Asics DS Light X-Fly 4 cleats feature an external heel counter for better lockdown and classic conical studs for comfort.

The launch and signature Iniesta colorway of the Asics DS Light X-Fly 4 football boots is white and red crimson, with the red color taken from Vissel Kobe's kits.
