Stuttgart Announce Jako Kit Deal to Replace Puma

VfB Stuttgart yesterday announced a kit deal with Jako, which will replace current supplier Puma after the end of the 2018-19 season.

The Jako VfB Stuttgart kit deal will initially run for four years, it was announced. It was reported that the new deal was worth around €4.5 million per season (Puma paid ~€3m), but this wasn't officially confirmed.

Stuttgart joins fellow Bundesliga clubs Leverkusen and Hannover, who already play in Jako kits.

Rudi Sprügel, Chairman of the Board at JAKO AG had the following to say: "In VfB Stuttgart, soon an absolute footballing flag-ship in the region and one of Germany’s most tradition-steeped clubs will be wearing JAKO. We are very proud as a partner and official outfitter to be integrated in the infamous red hoop. We are already very much looking forward to presenting the team and fans with our kits for the 2019/2020 season."
Jochen Röttgermann, Director of Marketing and sales at VfB Stuttgart, commented on the deal: "We undertook an extensive probing of the market and held countless discussions in search of the best solution for VfB. JAKO is a company on the up-and-up, with, just as VfB, their roots in the region and that follow ambitious targets. JAKO is a highly professional outfitter and they have guaranteed their support for our professional team, through to the children from the VfB School of Football. In the overall package of outfitting and sponsoring, that means improved financial takings, which we intend to follow along with our sporting ambitions.
