David Villa's New Boots - In Detail | Joma Propulsion Lite Football Boots

It is well possible that Spain legend David Villa will join Spanish brand Joma after the former FC Barcelona and Adidas player trained in Joma's Propulsion Lite football shoes. We take a closer look at Joma's speed boots silo that was released in Summer 2016.

Made for ultimate speed, the Joma Propulsion Lite boots feature a feature a lightweight, one-piece microfiber upper that is similar to the upper of some old Nike Mercurial Vapor boots. The cleats have a ultra-lightweight sole plate with an external heel counter and a traditional low-cut boot construction.

Joma Propulsion Lite - Launch Edition with different upper

Interestingly, the first Joma Propulsion Lite soccer cleats that were released in 2016 featured a upper that reminds us of the upper of the Adidas Adizero 2014 World Cup boots, while the Spanish brand quite secretly updated the upper material for the 2017 edition of the cleats.

Joma Propulsion Lite - Features

  • Weight: ~165 gr (5.8 oz)
  • One-piece upper to improve stability and weight
  • New 'Unique Large Technology' sole plate

Design-wise, the Joma Propulsion Lite football boots are anything but clean and classic. They boast a zig-zag graphic and a Joma branding that is placed on the front part of upper rather than on the outstep (traditional Joma boot design).

The Joma Propulsion Lite soccer cleats retail at a price of 105 GBP (140 Euro).
