Spain's 2018 World Cup home jersey was definitely Adidas' most discussed new World Cup jersey as the blue appears to have the same purple tone of the Republican flag used from 1931-39, still used as a symbol by those who oppose the Spanish king. However, while some called for a new jersey, the Spain national team debuted their kit in the 5-0 friendly against Costa Rica, and they will also use the shirt in the 2018 World Cup.
