FC Barcelona To Sell Camp Nou Naming Rights

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu said that Barcelona members will vote on a naming rights deal for the Nou Camp in the first half of 2018.

Some days ago, it was reported that the Barcelona could sign a deal with Grifols, an European multinational pharmaceutical and chemical company from Spain. Grifols said thet they have no agreement with Barça for naming rights to the Camp Nou and a sponsorship of this type would be not feasible. The stadium would have been called "Camp Nou Grifols".

Camp Nou Naming Rights Negotiations 'Are Going Well'

The Spanish giants already have plans in place for £536m (600m euros) redevelopment of their stadium, with work expected to start this season. A naming rights deal could help towards the cost.

"The negotiations to find a name for the Camp Nou are going well," said Bartomeu at the annual general meeting.

The Camp Nou has been Barcelona's home since 1957 and has hosted two European Cup finals - in 1989 and 1999.
