DFL Rejects Puma Holstein Kiel 17-18 2. Bundesliga Home Kit
Newly promoted German 2. Bundesliga side Holstein Kiel has to change their home kit as the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL) refused the design of their new 17-18 home kit. The new Holstein Kiel 2017-2018 jerseys are made for the first time by Puma, who became the club's new kit supplier just a few days ago. Adidas previously made the kits of the team.
Holstein Kiel 2017-2018 Away Kit Rejected Because Of Front Map Design
This Holstein Kiel kit does not comply the strict kit rules of the Bundesliga.
The proposed first Holstein Kiel Puma home shirt is white and blue with a map of the Kiel Fjord of 1900 on the front. However, the DFL rated the map not as design element but as a picture, which is not allowed to feature on a kit.
Because of the problems with the kit regulations of the Bundesliga, the club did not release a new kit yet and played the first matches of the pre-season with a (likely) provisional red Teamwear shirt.
