Grey Nike MercurialX Proximo II 2016-2017 Boots Released

Nike launched a new, FootballX-exclusive collection this morning, including a predominantly grey colorway for the second-gen Nike MercurialX Proximo boot, drawin inspiration from the Nike Air Max 90.

Nike MercurialX Proximo II - Wolf Grey / Pure Platinum / Infrared / White

This is the latest Nike MercurialX Proximo II indoor soccer boot colorway.

Predominantly grey, the new Nike MercurialX Proximo 2 soccer shoes boast a white outsole, a pink (Infrared) midsole and large Nike Swoosh on the outstep, colored white. The heel tab is black, while the lateral MercurialX branding is pink. To round things off, another pink label is visible on the heel, with a classic Nike logo placed on the inside.

Tech-wise, the new Nike MercurialX Proximo II football shoes boast an extra layer of protection in the forefoot area compared to the Superfly V. In general, they have a one-piece Flyknit upper, while a thin layer of synthetic NikeSkin is added on top in order to offer more protection and to improve durability.

The sole has also been completely reworked for the second-gen Nike MercurialX Proximo. A "full-length Phylon midsole with sipes for light, responsive cushioning" is at the base of the new Nike MercurialX Proximo II soccer boots, while a new outsole was created specifically for this shoe.

Set to be available for indoor / court (IN) and turf (TF) surfaces, the Wolf Grey Nike MercurialX Proximo II football boots will drop on August 30. They retail at $175.
