Solar Yellow Adidas Ace 16+ PureControl 2016-17 Boots Released
For the start of the new season and the Olympic Games, Adidas today introduced a striking yellow paint job for the laceless Adidas Ace 16+ PureControl soccer boots. Featuring an one-of-a-kind laceless construction, the Solar Yellow Adidas Ace 16+ PureControl 2016-17 football boots have an overall straightforward design without any distractions.
Adidas Ace 16+ PureControl - Solar Yellow / Core Black / Silver Metallic
This is the first 2016-17 colorway of the laceless Adidas Ace 16+ football boots.
Inspired by the Euro 2016 Adidas Ace 16+ PureControl cleat paint job which is silver with detailing in yellow, the striking color takes over the entirety of this color. Accompanied by black, used for the lateral Adidas stripes, and silver, used for all brandings, the Solar Yellow Adidas Ace 16+ 2016-17 boots introduce a bold design for the start of the new season.
Just like on all previous Adidas Ace 16+ boots, the sole plate again features a striking metallic finish, helping to further differentiate the top variant of setting off the highest-tier model against the rest of the Adidas Ace range.
Tech-wise, the Adidas Ace 16+ football boots made big waves with their laceless construction when they were first shown to the world in late 2015. Thanks to a clever construction, Adidas has managed to allow for the laces to be removed while retaining stability and lockdown, as evidenced by the likes of Koke and Paul Pogba who wear them on-field.
The other features of the yellow Adidas Ace 16+ PureControl cleats are similar, if not identical to the Adidas Ace 16.1 Primeknit. For a more in-depth look at the details of the Adidas Ace 16 PureControl 2016-2017 cleats, check out our tech write-up.
Launched in July 2016, the Solar Yellow Adidas Ace 16+ PureControl football boots retail at a price of $300 (€300, £250).
