Netherlands 2016 Away Kit Released
The new Nike Netherlands 2016 away kit introduces a powerful and striking look for the Dutch national team's 2018 World Cup campaign. Launched today without much fanfare, the Netherlands 2016 away jersey combines a bold purple base with turquoise details.
Whereas the new Netherlands home kit will be debuted in the Netherlands friendly at home against France, the Netherlands 2016 away shirt is set to be worn for the first time away to England on March 29, 2016.

Deriving from the new Netherlands home shirt, which features purple ('Concord') trim, the strong color takes over all but the logos on the Nike Netherlands 2016 away kit. Combined with turquoise ('Clearwater'), used for the Nike and Netherlands logos, as well as piping around the back of the v-collar and the cross-dyed sleeves, the Netherlands away jersey is the first ever to be predominantly violet.
Pictured here is the authentic variant of the new Netherlands 2016 away shirt, the shirt worn by the players which boasts many interesting, country-specific details: Nederland is written on the back of the neckline, while Oranje Leeuwen (orange lions), a nickname of the Netherlands national team, is applied to the inside of the sleeve cuffs on the right and left side, respectively.
Template-wise, the new Netherlands away kit employs Nike's all new Vapor kit template, evidenced by the remarkable texturized front that embodies a superhero aesthetic. Read more on the new technology here.
Purple shorts and turquoise socks complete the iconic look of the Nike Netherlands 2016 away kit, following the style used for Nike's other 2016 national team uniforms.
