First-Ever Adidas X Artificial Grass Boots Released
Adidas has quietly released the first-ever version of the Adidas X Cleats made especially for artificial grass, after the German brand previously only released FG / AG Hybrid versions of the cutting-edge Chaos Boots.
Whereas Nike offers Artificial Grass versions for all of their silos, Adidas stopped to release AG versions of their top-tier boots with the launch of the all-new Adidas Ace and Adidas X Boots as both boots introduced a 'revolutionary' outsole made for firm ground surfaces and artificial grass with a second-layer of traction. And after it was already revealed that Adidas has ditched the previous outsole design for the next-gen Adidas Ace Boots altogether, it now looks like that Adidas has nixed their ambitious concept once for all.
Adidas X 15.1 AG Solar Gold / Core Black / Shock Pink
This is the first-ever Adidas X 15.1 Boot made exclusively for Artificial Grass.
Boasting the identical design as the regular version of the first Adidas X 15.1 2016 Boots Colorway, the first-ever Adidas X 15.1 Artificial Grass Cleats are designed to make a bold statement on the pitch. And as the upper is also identical to the Solar Yellow Adidas X 15.1 FG / AG Hybrid version, let's get straight into the interesting part of the boots - the sole plate.
The AG sole plate of the first-ever Adidas X 15.1 Artificial Grass Soccer Cleats is anything but really new. In fact, the Artificial Grass outsole is exactly the same as the AG outsole used for the last generation of the Adidas F50 Adizero Boots.
Already available in some stores, the first-ever Adidas X 15.1 Artificial Grass Football Boots retail at the same price as the FG / AG version of the boots: 210 Euro (200 USD, 150 GBP).
Nothing really new, but nevertheless interesting. What do you think of Adidas' rapid confession that it's not possible to create a perfect AG / FG Hybrid Boot? Let us know in the comments section below.
