Gold Puma Menotti Star Boots Released

Puma is bringing back one of its most iconic football boots, the Puma Menotti Star, a golden cleat that was originally launched in celebration of Argentina's 1978 World Cup win and is now available again in a modernized version.

César Luis Menotti coached the Argentine team at the 1978 World Cup and later went on to train the likes of FC Barcelona and Atlético Madrid, making a name for himself with his unique brand of attacking football and zonal defending. Enough of a name to be awarded a special golden football boot from Puma.

Based on one of Puma's most prolific and iconic soccer cleats, the Puma Menotti Star boot remake boasts a classy golden leather upper, with bold white Puma brandings on both sides. The traditional tongue of the Puma Menotti Star cleats features more Puma logos, in black and green.

Closely following the original, the new Puma Menotti Star soccer boots come with an interesting stitching pattern in the forefoot area to improve fit and touch. Whereas the 1978 Puma Menotti Star had a classical six screw-in stud sole configuration, the 2015 remake boasts more than double that number, 13 conical studs to be exact.

The striking Puma Menotti Star cleats are now available as a limited edition.
