Sporting To Announce Macron Kit Deal

  • New Kit Supplier: Sporting CP will switch to Macron as their kit supplier, replacing Puma, starting in the 2014-15 season.
  • Financial Details: The deal with Macron is worth 2 million Euro per year, a significant increase from the previous 600,000 Euro per year contract with Puma.
  • Other Club Changes: This is another Portuguese club changing kit suppliers, with Porto switching to Warrior, leaving Benfica as the only major club to keep Adidas.

Macron will be the new Sporting Clube de Portugal kit supplier from the 2014-15 season. According to the Portugese newspaper O Jogo, Sporting CP signed a deal with the Italian kit supplier Macron, after the contract with Puma expired this year. Puma had been the Sporting CP kit supplier since 2006.

This is yet another relevant shirt supplier change, as it is also reported that the new Porto 14-15 Kits will be made by Warrior Sports. While Benfica will keep Adidas as kit supplier (check out the leaked Benfica 14-15 Home Kit), two of the top three Portugese teams will switch the shirt supplier from next season.
