Beşiktaş to Release Nike 26-27 Kits on June 29 + 4th Kit & Authentic (27-28) Kits Coming - Nike "Does Not Have Such [Elite] Categories"
- Authentic Kits & Design Process: Beşiktaş will receive top-tier treatment from Nike, including authentic Aero-Fit kits from the 2027-28 season, designed in collaboration with global offices, and will offer three distinct kit tiers to supporters.
- Financial Gains & Sales Ambitions: The new Nike partnership provides a threefold increase in sponsorship fees, with Beşiktaş targeting to surpass its record of 500,000 shirt sales, supported by an expanded retail network.
- Revamped Merchandise Strategy: Beşiktaş is overhauling its merchandise with four new product categories (match fan, daily lifestyle, retro, elite) and a significant push into women's apparel to capture a growing market segment.
Club board member Mehmet Sarımermer recently shared extensive details regarding the Turkish giant's new global partnership with the US brand, confirming significant upgrades to their kit tiers, design process, and merchandise strategy. Story via @sortSYHformaBYZ.
Beşiktaş to Get Authentic Aero-Fit Kits From 27-28 Season
As part of the lucrative new agreement, Beşiktaş will receive top-tier treatment from Nike. Their future kits are being designed in the same global offices as other major European clubs, utilizing a collaborative effort between Nike centers in Portland, the Netherlands, and Turkey.
Mehmet Sarımermer also said that Beşiktaş would receive Elite treatment but would not be in an Elite category, which would not exist within Nike.
We're considered an elite category in the way our fans understand it, but our sponsor doesn't have a classification like that within their brand. If elite means special kit design and top-quality materials, that's being delivered, and so we're meeting expectations that way.
For us, this means that Beşiktaş will not fall to the same level as Nike's top teams, even though it was not said directly. Beşiktaş' kits "could appear in stores across Europe", but only in the long term. If an A-Level team, their kits would be available globally directly.
Starting in the 2027-28 season, the club will offer three distinct kit tiers to supporters: the premium Elite (Player Issue), the standard Stadium (Replica), and a more accessible Fan version. In the 26-27 season, we will likely only see one or two tiers, and not Aero-Fit kits.
Due to the transition between technical sponsors, the design timeline for the highly anticipated 2026-27 collection was significantly accelerated. While kit development typically requires a full year of planning, the upcoming Beşiktaş kits were rushed to completion over the summer in a span of just four months. The inaugural Nike lineup will feature a classic white kit, a black kit, and a striped kit, with a mandatory fourth kit scheduled for a later release.
Beşiktaş' 26-27 kit presentation will take place on Monday, June 29, "in all likelihood".

Beşiktaş to Earn 3x Times More, Plus Wants to Break 2016-17 Sales Record
The new Nike deal is a massive financial boost for the Istanbul club, reportedly bringing in a sponsorship fee three times higher than their previous agreement. With the global appeal of the Nike brand, Beşiktaş aims to shatter their all-time shirt sales record of approximately 500,000 units, which was set during the 2016-17 season. To support this ambitious target, the club's Kartal Yuvası retail network is expanding to over 70 locations across the country.
Beyond the matchday kits, Beşiktaş is completely revamping its wider merchandise strategy. Starting with the upcoming autumn and winter collections, products will be distinctly divided into four categories: match fan, daily lifestyle wear, retro, and elite. The club is also initiating a major push for women's apparel, recognizing a significant market opportunity. Currently, women make up 42% of store visitors but account for only a small fraction of revenue, prompting the club to introduce a broader range of subtly branded lifestyle items.
FIFA Changes Brazil Goalkeeper Kit for Scotland Match
FIFA has implemented a late change to Brazil's goalkeeper kit for their 2026 World Cup Group C encounter with Scotland. Initially slated to wear a red outfit, the Brazilian goalkeeper will now wear green for the match on June 24.
The reasons for the switch are not known.
Official match kit graphics confirm the switch, showing the Brazil goalkeeper in a dark green jersey, paired with matching dark green shorts and socks. This green kit is one of the primary options in Brazil's wardrobe for the tournament. Their opponents, Scotland, will have their goalkeeper dressed in a grey kit.
The update was brought to attention by Brazilian kit specialists Mantos do Futebol. The released FIFA match kit table visually confirms the swap from the originally planned red Nike goalkeeper shirt to the green alternative, alongside the outfield kits of both nations.
