Galatasaray 24-25 Special Kit Could Go Down in History as the Kit With the Least Minutes Worn Ever
- Galatasaray's New Kit: The Galatasaray 24-25 special kit was worn for approximately 34 minutes in a match that was abandoned due to the opposing team's protest.
- Record for Least Worn Kit: This could be the least-worn kit in history, potentially beating Manchester United's grey 1995-96 away kit, which was worn for 45 minutes.
- Manchester United Kit Change: The grey kit was replaced at half-time, costing the club a £10,000 fine, and was never worn again, due to the players reporting that it blended in with the crowd.
Yesterday's match between Galatasaray and Adana Demirspor was delayed after 34 minutes of play after Adana Demirspor decided to 'walk out' in protest at refereeing decisions. The Puma Galatasaray 24-25 special kit, which was donned after just over 34 minutes of play, could become the kit worn for the fewest minutes in history.

Worn for just 34 minutes, the Galatasaray 24-25 special kit could go down as the least worn kit in history.
The shortest time a kit has been worn on record is the grey 1995-96 away kit. It was worn against Southampton and they lost 3-0 in the first half. Man United switched to their blue/white third kit in the second half. The grey 95-96 away kit was therefore only worn for 45 minutes.
Sir Alex Ferguson later explained that the players felt they could not see each other clearly on the pitch from a distance because their shirts blended with the colors of the supporters.
The grey away kit was never worn again after that match. However, the half-time change came at a price for Manchester United. They were fined £10,000 by the FA for breaching kit regulations, which Ferguson later described as "the best £10,000 I ever spent".
However, the use of football shirts in previous decades is not always well documented, so there may be other examples of football shirts being worn for very short periods of time.
