PSG has teamed up with Jay Chou's PHANTACi brand to launch a special Lunar New Year collection for 2025, which brings us a special Year of the Snake typeface & anthem jacket. Both were debuted on January 25 during the PSG vs Reims match at Parc des Princes.
Ligue 1 allowed PSG to wear this font - we would not see that in Premier League
What is remarkable is that the Ligue 1 allowed PSG to wear this font. The numbers are very stylish but hard to recognize, and the player names come in Mandarin, which can only be read by people knowing Mandarin.
PSG x PHANTACi Lunar New Year Kit Typeface - Year of the Snake
The highlight of the PSG x PHANTACi Lunar New Year collection is a limited-edition jersey featuring a stylized snake design incorporating PSG's signature blue and red colorway. A distinctive geometric pattern provides the background, blending oriental aesthetics with modern football design.
In addition to current squad names such as Neves, Barcola, Hakimi, Vitinha, Dembélé, Marquinhos, and Zaïre-Emery, an exclusive "Paris 75" Mandarin lettering is available. 75 stands for the postal code of the city of Paris.
PSG Lunar New Year Anthem Jacket
An Anthem collector's jacket complements the jersey, following the same design philosophy of merging traditional Lunar New Year elements with contemporary sportswear aesthetics. The red elements symbolize passion and vitality, while blue represents stability and wisdom - core values of both PSG and Asian culture.
This marks PSG's continued focus on Asian market expansion, with club planning further initiatives in the region for 2025.
