Football Boot Watch – Throwbacks, Signature Boots & Next-Gen Prototypes

  • Mismatched Boots: Cucurella's performance was noted while wearing next-gen Puma Future 8 boots.
  • Unique Custom Boots: Brian Rodriguez wore custom Nike Mercurial Superfly boots designed to replicate the Mercurial Vapor 6.
  • Next-Gen Prototypes: Federico Dimarco and Harvey Elliott were spotted in prototype boots for the Adidas F50 and New Balance Tekela respectively.

Regarding boot appearances, last weekend was surely dominated by Cucurella's failure with the next-gen Puma Future 8 football boots. However, there also have been other boot spots - In collaboration with Bootsclub, we bring you the most intriguing boot spottings of the week.

1. Brian Rodriguez – Custom Nike Mercurial Superfly with Vapor 6 Design

Uruguayan international Brian Rodriguez amazed fans by wearing Nike Mercurial Superfly 10 boots custom-designed to replicate the iconic Mercurial Vapor 6. These unique creations are the work of footwear artist Pete Zheng, and not a future Nike release.

2. Endrick – New Balance Irmão Signature Cleats

Endrick showcased his New Balance Tekela V4+ ‘Irmão Edition,’ celebrating his Brazilian roots with a unique design inspired by his hometown.

3. Adama Traoré – Nike Mercurial Vapor CR7 Galaxy

Adama Traoré turned back time with the 2013-released CR7 Galaxy edition of the Nike Mercurial Vapor IX. It's always strange to see players in other players' signature boots, but the 2013 Cristiano Ronaldo Galaxy boots feature no visible CR7 brandings, so it is a clear hit for us.

4. Federico Dimarco – Whiteout Next-Gen Adidas F50 Prototype Boots

Inter Milan’s Federico Dimarco stepped onto the pitch in whiteout next-generation Adidas F50 prototype soccer boots, which are set to be released in summer 2025.

5. Harvey Elliott – Next-Gen New Balance Tekela

Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott wore whiteout prototypes of the 2025 New Balance Tekela 5 boots. There is no leak of them yet.
