Puma Portugal Deal Still Not Officially Announced

Puma is set to become the Portugal national team’s official kit supplier starting January 1, 2025. However, the deal between Puma and the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has yet to be formally confirmed.

Puma Portugal Kit Deal is Signed & Kits Have Been Produced

Most importantly, Footy Headlines understands that the Portugal-Puma deal has been signed for more than a year now. The Portugal 2025 Puma kits have already been produced, and there are even leaks of the apparent Puma Portugal 2025 kits. The first Portugal designs by Puma have received a mid-reaction so far.

Kit supplier deals vary widely in terms of announcement timing. In some cases, like Germany’s Nike deal (set to start in 2027, announced in 2024 after a tender), the news is shared years in advance. Other agreements are announced just weeks before they take effect.

With high-profile teams like Portugal, however, brands often confirm deals several months, if not years, in advance, given the impact of these collaborations. With Portugal, it is different.

Nike will have a "last dance" with Portugal

Portugal's current kit supplier, Nike, is planning a "last dance" by re-releasing the Portugal Euro 2004 kit, giving fans a chance to own the possible most iconic Nike Portugal kit in history before the brand hands the reins over to Puma.

Footy Headlines has no information on when the Portugal Football Federation and Puma will announce their partnership. It is, well, possible this month, November 2024, but we could also see no announcement before 2025.
