Championship club Sheffield United has finally found a main sponsor for the 2024-25 season, but it is not what many fans have hoped for.

Sheffield United Announces Cryptocurrency Maneki as New Principal Partner for 2024-25 Season

Maneki is the club’s new principal partner. The Maneki-neko logo will feature on the Blades’ kits. It made its first appearance during the club’s clash with Leeds United yesterday.

Maneki has chosen to color-match its logo to blend with all of Sheffield United’s kits, but the unusual logo is still, of course, no seamless fit. Fans will also have the option to decide whether to apply the sponsor’s logo to their shirts or not.

For the classic third kit, Maneki only puts its lettering on the shirt.

Maneki is a cryptocurrency built on the Solana blockchain, drawing inspiration from the Maneki-neko, the Japanese symbol of good fortune. The cryptocurrency is centered around community engagement and luck, aiming to create value through interactive and gamified experiences.
