Adidas Predator 24 vs Next-Gen Adidas Predator 25 Boots - All the Differences
In December 2024, Adidas will release the next-gen Predator 25 boots to replace the Predator 24. We've already leaked real-life images of some of the Predator 25's colorways, so now it's time to compare the differences between the Predator 25 and its predecessor, the Predator 24.
Adidas Predator 24 vs Next-gen Adidas Predator 25: Design-Wise
Overall, the design of the next-gen Predator 25 shoe is based on the Predator 24 shoe with a few minor changes.
The most obvious difference is that the rubber pads of the old Predators have been removed and replaced with small grooves with rubber spikes.
The Predator 2025 has a folding tongue in the same design as the Predator 2024, with the Adidas logo on one side and thin rubber pads on the other.
The biggest visual difference can be found on the instep. Adidas added striking three stripes, similar to those of the Adidas Predator Precision from 2004.
The soleplate retains the same design as the Predator 24 boots.

Tech-wise, the next-gen Predator 25 football boots don't offer too many revolutionary improvements over the Predator 24. They only feature minor updates such as the rubber components on the upper and the design of the instep/forefoot area. They will also be again available in three different high-end variants - tongue, laceless, and laces.
The Adidas Predator 2025 boot is described as having a forefoot design that redistributes weight toward the front of the shoe, optimizing power transmission when hitting the ball.
The Adidas Predator 2025 football boot is again designed to offer the ultimate control and power on the pitch.
The 2025 Predator features a weighted forefoot piece called Power Facet
For added power, Adidas added a Power Facet, which is the most interesting feature for us. It is a weighted forefoot piece that redistributes weight toward the front of the boot. This allows for optimized power transfer, enhancing the force behind every strike.
The Predator 25 boots feature small grooves with rubber spikes that replace the rubber pads on the Predator 24 - called High Definition Grip Technology. It incorporates individual rubber elements in the kicking zone, designed to improve grip on the ball while still offering a soft upper feel. Additionally, the precise grip texture extends to the lateral dribbling zone, boosting control when guiding the ball during fast movements.
The sole plate is the same as for the Predator 2024.
