Special Köln 2024 Lukas Podolski Farewell Kit Released
Update: The special 1. FC Köln kit for Lukas Podolski, called LP10, was used by the former German international and his teammates in his farewell match. Podolski also wore customized boots inspired by the city of Köln and his former club.
Köln launched a special Podolski shirt that pays homage to the shirt the back-then 18-year-old wore in his first home game for the club in 2003. It is made by current manufacturer Hummel and not by Saller, the club's 2003-04 kit maker.
Köln 2024 LP10 Kit
This is the Köln 2024 LP10 shirt.
The 1. FC Köln 2024 LP10 shirt replicates the look of the 2003-04 home shirt, which was made by back-then supplier Saller. It is white with red logos and applications.
Various details make the Podolski farewell kit unique. A special lenticular on the right sleeve shows the LP10 logo/city coat of arms. The back collar features the embossed "KÖLSCHE JUNG" (Cologne Young)"– LP10".
The collar reads:
- 'Lukas Podolski'
- '2003-2006, 2009-2012' (the two periods he played for Köln)
- 181 Spiele - 86 Tore (181 games - 86 goals)
