Benfica to Wear Red & White Home and Away Kits in the Future Only, Third Kit Designated for Experiments
Following a meeting of Benfica's general assembly, the club have decided to stop using colors other than red and white on their home and away kits from next season. This means that Benfica's future home and away kits will be red and white only, with Adidas free to design the third kit, according to Benfica news expert @OFuraRedes and Footy Headlines sources.
Benfica to Wear Red & White Home and Away Kits in the Future Only
During the Benfica general assembly meeting between the club president and the fans, a fan called Torgal suggested that the Benfica shirt should have only red and white as its main colors. After a vote, the proposal was accepted.
Therefore, in the future, possibly from the 25-26 season, Benfica's kit will be regulated as follows:
- Home kit: Red/white, no other colors
- Away kit: White/red, no other colors
- Third kit: No color restrictions, Adidas can be creative
The last time Benfica's home and away kits featured the traditional red and white colors was 10 years ago, back in the 2015-16 season.
