Hummel European Clubs "Equality" Pre-Match Jerseys Released - Betis, Bremen, Sunderland & More Hummel Teams Miss Out

Danish sportswear brand Hummel is teaming up with three of its partner football clubs across Europe – Brøndby IF, FC Köln, and Coventry City FC – for unique pre-match jerseys that send a strong message for equality.

Many Hummel teams miss out - we do not know why

Oddly, only three teams get a special Hummel equality kit. Other Hummel-sponsored teams, such as Bremen, Malaga, Betis, Sunderland, and Celta Vigo, did not receive one. We have no information on whether these clubs will follow later, but it does not seem so.

Hummel 23-24 Equality Jerseys

Last season, many more Hummel teams got an equality jersey. However, they all got the same shirt with different logos. This season, each jersey is bespoke.

The Hummel Equality 24-25 Pre-Match Jerseys highlight the importance of equality, inclusion, and diversity by combining a black base with striking rainbow elements.

Design-wise, Hummel has taken an interesting approach. Each team's home kit design is recolored in the rainbow look, creating unique and outstanding appearances.

"Football has always been about more than what happens on the pitch. It's about creating communities where everyone feels they belong. With the launch of this new pre-game jersey, we aim to highlight our commitment to equality and inclusion, not only as a brand but in partnership with clubs that are integral parts of their local communities. The rainbow colors on the jersey send a powerful message that football is for everyone, regardless of background, belief, or who they love," said Hummel’s Marketing Director, Morten Lund.

The Hummel 24-25 Equality jerseys retail at 45 GBP for Coventry, 60 Euro for Köln, and 50 Euro for Brøndby.
