Weird: Manchester United Snapdragon Deal Extended Three Years in Advance

Although Manchester United and Qualcomm (Snapdragon) only began their partnership this season, the two parties have agreed to activate a three-year extension of their partnership until 2029.

Manchester United Snapdragon Deal Extended

Manchester United's previous deal with Qualcomm was for three seasons, ending at the end of the 2026-27 season. Both parties have now extended the agreement for a further three seasons, until the end of the 2028-29 season.

Manchester United Snapdragon deal remains worth 60 million GBP per season - 300 million GBP over minimum five years.

In addition to sponsoring the front-of-shirt, Qualcomm Technologies has expanded its rights into the PC category, and activated the right to nominate a logo to appear on the back of Manchester United shirts for the 2024/25 season. The Copilot+PC sponsor will appear on the back of Manchester United's shirts in Cup matches (FA Cup, League Cup).

This is the first time Manchester United have had a back sponsor for an official match. Previously, in the 24-25 pre-season, Manchester United's shirt also featured the Snapdragon logo on the back of the collar.

Omar Berrada, chief executive officer of Manchester United, said: "In a short time, we have seen that Snapdragon and Manchester United are a perfect fit. We have achieved record-breaking home, away and third shirt launches, enjoyed an insightful trip with members of the first team and club leadership to Qualcomm’s HQ and taken an innovative approach to the back-of-shirt rights. Against that backdrop, we are incredibly proud to announce the extension of our principal partnership".
