Juventus Ita Airways Main Kit Sponsor Deal Blocked by Italian State

Update: The Juventus sponsorship deal with Ita Airways has been reportedly blocked by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. The news was reported by Ilario Di Giovambattista, editorial director of Radio Radio.

Ita Airways is still 100% government-owned

The reasons for the block are believed to be related to the bad financial state of Ita Airways, which is still 100% government-owned (Lufthansa is allowed to acquire 41% of the shares). The sponsorship agreement was reportedly signed on July 29th in Rome, with marketing images already made. The deal would have been worth €41m (or €13.7m per season), which is way lower than everyone expected Juventus could get from a new main sponsor.

Update: As rightly noted by our followers, the Italian Serie A has a rule against sponsor logos being placed in a box. Therefore, the Ita Airways logo on the Juventus 24-25 kits will most likely feature a border only and no box. We have created mock-ups of the home and away kits with the possible looks of the Ita Airways logo [two for the home, two for the away].

Juventus is set to unveil Ita Airways as the new main sponsor for its match shirts, it is reported by Radio Radio.
