Hoffenheim Carries Over Away Kit, Will Release 125th Anniversary Kit

Bundesliga club Hoffenheim a couple of days ago announced that it would carry over the white away kit from last season.

The club wrote the following on Instagram.

⚪ Still in white ⚪

We'll be chasing points away from home in our usual look!

You can still look forward to a new jersey. Keyword: 125 years 🎉

As you can see, instead of a new away kit, Hoffenheim will release a new jersey commemorating the club's 125th anniversary. This will likely be a special-edition jersey and not simply the third kit.

This is an interesting move because Hoffenheim is anything but a historic club and is not well liked by the fans of more traditional clubs in Bundesliga, second only to Leipzig in that regard.

Originally founded in 1899 as a gymnastics club, Hoffenheim was re-established in its modern form in 1945. In 2000, the club was in the fifth division, but it rapidly ascended through the German football league system thanks to the financial support of alumnus and software magnate Dietmar Hopp. This backing culminated in Hoffenheim's promotion to the Bundesliga, the top tier of German football, in 2008.

Hoffenheim 24-25 Away Kit

This is the Hoffenheim 2024-25 away jersey, carried over from the 23-24 season.

Mainly white, the Joma Hoffenheim 24-25 away jersey has a subtle striped look on the front, with an abstract pattern of a map of Sinsheim's surrounding areas.
