Barcelona to Announce First-Ever Shorts Sponsor
FC Barcelona is set to announce its first-ever shorts sponsor soon, according to reports from Spain.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the logo of Medusa, a UAE-based company that specializes in producing surface disinfectants with bactericidal, fungicidal, and virucidal properties, effective against viruses like SARS-CoV-2 for up to 10 days, will appear on the front of the shorts of the first team.
The deal will bring the club an additional five million euros annually over three seasons, totaling 15 million euros. The advertising will debut either at the Gamper match against Monaco on August 12 or the start of the league against Valencia on August 17.
The Medusa logo will only appear on the shorts during La Liga and Copa del Rey matches, as shorts sponsors are not allowed in the Champions League.
