Adidas Releases New Roma Jacket With Blue Color of Rivals Lazio, Sparking Outrage From Fans
A few days ago, Adidas unveiled Roma's new 24-25 jacket, which features a blue band close to the traditional colors of rivals Lazio. This caused a wave of anger among Roma fans. The product was subsequently withdrawn from sale.

The new Adidas AS Roma 24-25 jacket is predominantly maroon, with a familiar beige color. Curiously, Adidas has also used a shade of blue very similar to that of their rivals Lazio.
Adidas explained that this shade of blue was inspired by the famous Murales Hunting Pollution mural in Rome. So it's a shade of green, not blue.
Naturally, the Roma fans did not accept this explanation. They were furious that a Roma product had the colors of their rival Lazio.
Faced with the backlash from fans, AS Roma owners Dan and Ryan Friedkin took immediate action by withdrawing the jacket from sale.
According to Jacopo Aliprandi of Corriere dello Sport, Roma have also started disciplinary proceedings against Chief Commercial and Brand Officer Michael Wandell, who was largely responsible for the launch of the Adidas Roma jacket.
Michael Wandell has now been sacked. The American owners believe that such a serious mistake cannot be made against the fans.
