Dynamo Dresden Announces Jako Kit Deal - Umbro Deal Cut Short

SG Dynamo Dresden and Umbro have mutually agreed to end their partnership two years earlier than planned, concluding a three-year collaboration. Originally set to last until June 2026, the contract will now end after the 2023-24 season. David Fischer, Dynamo's managing director, thanked Umbro for their successful partnership, which provided popular jerseys and merchandise for the club and its fans.

Umbro, an English sportswear brand, had been supplying Dynamo since the 2021/22 season, outfitting both the professional and youth teams. Recently, Umbro has also terminated contracts with other German clubs like FC Schalke 04 and Werder Bremen to focus more on its UK market.

According to reports in Germany, Umbro had massive issues supplying stock for the club, which resulted in Dresden having to play last summer's preseason in old gear. This sounds very similar to what was reported when fellow 3. Liga side Osnabrück left Umbro last year.

German manufacturer Jako will replace Umbro as Dynamo's kit supplier, starting from the 2024/25 season, with a contract lasting until June 2028. Jako, previously partnered with Dynamo from 2008 to 2011, is welcomed back by Fischer, who praised their alignment with the club’s values and high-quality products.
