To celebrate the return of the old logo, Atlético Madrid release a nice video. In the video, a nun prays daily for the return of the old crest. The piece ends with the sentence, "Sometimes the heart has reasons that marketing doesn't understand," in response to criticism of the return to the old crest.
The yellow border is still being used for the home kit
The official return of the Atlético Madrid logo will not take place until July 1, but the change is already being implemented gradually, appearing in the most iconic places such as the Civitas Metropolitano stadium. The new kits for the 2024-2025 season will reintroduce the old symbol.
The yellow border has been removed from the official new crest. However, the 24-25 home kit comes with the classic yellow border. It could be that Atlético will continue to use the yellow border for every of its upcoming home kits.
