Adidas Catalonia 2023-2024 Home Kit Released, People Are Furious Because of Wrong Number of Stripes
The Catalan Football Federation (FCF) recently presented the 2023-24 season at their headquarters in Barcelona, where it also unveiled the new kit for the Catalan national teams. However, it did not go without a heavy controversy.

This is the new Adidas Catalonia home jersey for 23-24.
The Adidas Catalonia 2023-24 jersey features colors and a design inspired by the famous Senyera. It is yellow with red fading stripes, plus black for logos and applications.

The Senyera has four and not five red stripes
However, there is a little but unfortunate difference to the Senyera flag. The kit has five red stripes, and not four as the official flag.
The reason why the Adidas Catalonia 2023-24 home football shirt does not match the design of the Senyera is simple. Adidas had no other catalog shirts that matched the Senyera.
Catalonia could keep this kit for four years, even though it seems unlikely after the heavy criticism
What is also unfavorable is that the Adidas Catalonia 2023-2024 home shirt comes with the old Adidas logo. The previous kit was used from 2019 until 2023 - if the new kit will also be used for four years (what we do not expect after the criticism), Catalonia will only receive a better kit in 2027.
